Cape Town Birding

Birdwatching in Cape Town is a renowned and popular past time, and Afton Grove offers ideal Cape Town birders accommodation, situated in the centre of the newly proclaimed Table Mountain National Park. Although in a lovely tranquil country setting in the "green heart" of the Peninsula, Noordhoek, the lodge is only 20 minutes to the city centre and 40 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.

A great asset in attracting the number of wildlife and birding tour operators to this destination has been owner Chris Spengler's keen interest in birds, along with his extensive local area knowledge. If you're interested in birdwatching in Cape Town, Chris is personally willing to assist in planning your itinerary and placing you in contact with birding guides and pelagic tour operators. If necessary he can also arrange accommodation further afield.

Birdwatching in Cape Town is truly unique, and at Afton Grove, birding begins in our two acre garden with wetlands virtually across the road...
